August update

It has been great catching up with family this month.

I have three nieces and a nephew. I was a little worried that the youngest, who is two years old this month, wouldn't recognize me. In fact at first she didn't, but after about half an hour she was inviting me to jump on the "tambagine" aka trampoline, and was sad when I left. So I am having a fun time reconnecting with my family.

My trip to California was rerouted. I flew to Pheonix Arizona and recieved a call from our travel agent that the rental car situation wasn't going to work out like I had planned. So I stayed in Pheonix for a week and then returned to Oregon.

I had never been to Arizona before and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the warm... ok hot, climate.

I am dissapointed that I missed seeing and visiting with the people that I was going to visit on my "road trip", but I am thankful that God brought me here where I am able to rest up and get some much needed work done.

One of the things that I have always loved doing in Oregon and have missed the last couple of years is the State fair.

When I was young I used to raise pigs for 4-H and take them to the county fair every year. I always loved that time, so it was fun to revisit that. But what made it especially fun is that I got to go with Bill and Ted. Yes, those are the boys I nannied for almost five years. We had a blast looking at all the animals and riding the big ferris wheel. Bill even won a stuffed puppy for me.

So the month of August has been a fun and refreshing month after a fruitful, but busy summer.

I do not take for grantide this time or the wonderful people in my life.

I am very blessed to have all of my friends and family.

Thank you for being who you are.

Jen
